How much information must I share on the DSWFitness site?
We collect information needed to secure ordering, exam taking, certificate of completion issue and customizing your educational experience. See below to find out what information is required for what task.
When I browse online:
- IP address-We use IP addresses to measure our site traffic and to help provide a relevant shopping experience. Your IP address is not linked to your customer information.
- Referral site-If you come to our site via a link, the location of the referral is captured. This is used to help us know where our users come from.
- Browser Type-This information is captured to help us optimize our site to match the latest technology used by our customers.
- Movements through our site-We keep track of pages you visit to help us provide a more personalized and relevant shopping experience.
When I create an Online Exam account:
Email address, password, online exam personal information (address, phone/fax numbers, and current certifications).
When I purchase a product online from DSWFitness:
Name, address and payment information, although credit card and PO numbers may be phoned/faxed in as an alternative.
When I subscribe to email promotions:
Fullname and Email address
When I email a link to product information to a friend/colleague "Recommend to a Friend":
Fullname and Email address of your friend/colleague and your email address.
When I request a catalog:
Name, address, email address, phone number.
When I sign up for contests, surveys and other registrations:
Name, email and phone number, but varies by promotion or purpose. If you elect to enter any contests or other promotions related to DSWFitness please note that, by entering, you are giving your permission to use your information for promotional purposes.
Is my information used for any other purpose?
We require only the personal information that is needed for safely processing your online order and for contacting you about your transactions. It is used exclusively for that purpose. Occasionally, DSWFitness conducts a companion promotion, which may include a catalog or promotion materials from a non-DSWFitness owned company. Does DSWFitness purchase information about its customers from other companies?
DSWFitness uses direct mail as its main method of customer contact, and therefore rents/purchases various mailing lists, which include the client's name and mailing address, throughout the year. The sole purpose for obtaining another company's mailing list is to send out our catalog or promotional mail piece.
How will my email address be used?
