Author Jim Gavin, PhD, is a professor of applied sciences at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. A practicing psychologist since 1968, he specializes in health promotion and counseling psychology. In 1984, he was awarded the Diplomat in Counseling Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology, the most prestigious award in counseling psychology. Since 1980, Jim's athletic and fitness endeavors include competitive swimming, tri-athlons, modern dance, and teaching aerobics and yoga. |
